In 2012, Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim, celebrates the Silver Jubilee of its existence. In 1952, Msgr. Vincent Scuderi, the Rector of Don Bosco Panjim was gifted the ancestral property of the Furtado family by Mr. Julio Furtado who was impressed with the Salesian work for young people in Goa. However, the Salesians began to reside and conduct formal apostolate in Benaulim only in 1987. Over these 25 years, Don Bosco Benaulim serves the people of the locality as well as youngsters from South Goa through the Catechetical Animation centre, Youth Services, Public Library and Counseling Services.
